God’s People, in God’s Place, with God’s Promises
I’ve said it every Sunday for over a year, Sunday is the best day of the week. The gathering of God’s people together to worship with one voice, receive His Word, and fellowship is unparalleled. It sure beats Nascar. It’s the place where God has put His name, to meet with His people, and to inhabit their praises. It’s where we get to experience the union we have in Christ with brother and sisters. It’s also where you get phone calls from when you’re on your way.
What do you do when you get called on the way to church and asked, “Do you want to be in the tank with us?” You say, “I’m turning around right now to get a change of clothes!”
Sunday we got to be present for the baptism of a dear brother. His family was a new addition to our sending church (RBC), and a young couple I got to disciple and watch get married only a week or so ago. It just swells the heart to see a brother in Christ grow so much so quickly. Praise God for the sanctification He works in us!
On top of that, at our gathering we had visitors from Reformed Baptist down in Roseburg. It was such a blessing to have brothers drive up just to join us for worship and encourage us. They invited me to a Reformed Baptist Pastor’s Conference in CA in November that I’m considering attending. Pray for wisdom.

Springfield Block Party
Coram Deo Baptist Church is planning to have a presence at the Springfield Block Party. It shuts down 10 blocks of downtown Springfield, right where we gather on Sundays, and hosts thousands of people.
This is going to be a great opportunity for us to raise awareness about the church and hopefully extend many many invitations to join us on Sundays. If you would like to come and support us at this event please reach out!

SUNDAY SERMON

PRAYER REQUESTS
Praise report for Phyllis, her surgery went well! They’re keeping her to watch for infection, it seems like they’re taking their time which is great.
Pray for me as the next few weeks will be quite busy (Project Hope Sunday, Bushnell event, Springfield Block Party). So much to do, only so many hours in the day.
Pray for our visitors! We’ve had two already and by our count there are 7 families in the wings that are potentially going to visit.
